EXPANDING RESOURCES.
I believe this is a great exposure by making contact with professionals in the field of early childhood outside the United Sates. After reading the options that we have, I sent emails to 6 different professionals. I chose Europe , Canada and UNICEF(Nigeria) . Some of the emails have bounced back but am still waiting on some replies.I was little bit nervous in the beginning but I realized later that this is a great opportunity to learn more globally about the issues facing the field of early childhood.
I chose UNESCO(United Nations Educational,Scientific , and Cultural Organization). I like this site because they focus on attaining quality education for all and life long learning. They also foster cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue and a culture of peace. I am glad to be part of this class.

Christine,
ReplyDeleteI too was nervous at first about this assignment. Now I’m getting excited about learning about the early childhood field from another country. I have used the UNESCO site before but I know there is more to learn about it. I will be interested in reading what you discover about the site.
I have also sent out e-mails to four individuals, and I am hopeful that I will get a response since none of them got bounced back. I am a little nervous, also, about possible language barriers since I am mono-lingual. I look forward to reading more about your impressions of UNESCO.
ReplyDeletechristine,
ReplyDeleteI have only sent out two e-mails so far, but plan on sending more. I hope that you hear back soon too, especially since you sent out 6! I also think that this is a great opportunity to learn about other issues around the world.
